Winter League fixtures

Hi All, 

Now every club has entered their teams for the year I have been able to arrange the fixtures ready for the season to start week beginning 24th September running through till the 1st week of December with a half term break. As discussed at the AGM, Teams will only get promoted/relegated if the club can actually hold the fixtures after doing so, therefore some teams haven't been relegated or promoted due to this issue. Also, Tewkesbury Park A and B teams have folded leaving Tewkesbury Park C playing in Division 3. With the Change to 5 players per team, Cheltenham Civil Service have folded their C team too. We welcome Cheltenham Ladies College A into Division 3 and it's great to see more new clubs being involved into the county league structure. 

With all these changes, I have needed to fit best the divisions so your expectations on relegation/promotion might not be as you would have expected so do please check the tables and fixtures. I have tried my best to promote teams where possible so it's more about which teams haven't been relegated.

Also, moving back to 5 players per team, it was agreed upon at the AGM the county league start time has been brought forward to 7pm start with options of clubs stating what there start time will be if 7pm cannot be achieved. (Team captains, can you please put up on the website what your club start time is in the clubs section of the website). It was also agreed that at least 2 players minimum from each team need to be on court at the start time to keep to tight time schedules (we will monitor this and impose penalties from January onwards if this is not adhered to).

I hope you are all looking forward to starting to play competitive league squash again after the summer break. Don't forget, Riverside are hosting the County Closed Doubles 2018 on the 22nd and 23rd September for the summer send off. Last entry is Monday 17th September so please get your entries in asap.
