    GSA County Closed

    Hi All,

It is fast approaching for the GSA annual county closed with only 2 weeks away prior to the first matches being played. Thank you to those who have already entered and have kept me in the loop with any details required to make the event run smoothly. Myself and Alex Parker have been visiting clubs recently to encourage more entries into the tournament and it has been well received.

We are hoping to achieve a minimum of 50 entries to this years event with confirmation of Nathan Lake, Jonny Harford, Mark Broekman, Julianne Courtice and Haley Mendez as professional squash players to make the event truely a sight to behold in squash calibre, not to mention the rapid rise of the Davidson brothers to keep them all on their toes. (This event is open to any one who has played in the county leagues and has been a part of the developing squash programme for glossquash, so this is our way of saying thank you for being apart of it and welcome you with open arms.) *Club Captains, please can you encourage as many people from your club to play or as a minimum come and watch*

We would encourage as many of you to enter as possible through the glossquash website home page as this is where we will produce the entry list from and create the draws for the event. As a minimum requirement, we need 8 female participants to run the womens event, from who i have spoken to so far, this is doable, we just need you to enter onto the online entry form please. As a reminder the date of last entry is april 1st as we will need a week to arrange the matches for each draw.

We will be offering to all juniors at a minimal cost of 5 pounds per person an opportunity to have a hit with the pro's on the saturday (most likely morning/early afternoon and last between 45mins to an hour) this will be limited to 16 spaces, if there is more demand we will aim to add another session on the sunday. Please send myself an e-mail to book your space for your child at rightin2fitness@outlook.com

There is a good possibility that there will be some entertainment on offer after the saturdays matches (TBC) in the bar area at East Glos so we encourage you all to stay with us and enjoy the food and beverages the club has to offer and make the most of them hosting our event.

We would like to thank Alex Parker (Parker SW Limited), Dan Heaton (AMPM247.com), Rob Brady (Stroud Brewery) and Robert Wilson for providing prizes for the event to make this event all the more worth while and without them, we would not be able to attract the calibre of squash players that we have been able to.

If you have any further questions, Please don't hesitate to ask or write a message on the forum.

    kind regards

    Mark Toseland
