Coaching Courses

Hi all,

As discussed at the most recent AGM, we are keen to build upon our coach network and help develop squash in each club. Gloucestershire are hosting 2 coaching courses run by England Squash accredited tutors at Cheltenham Ladies college at the end of April and mid May:

• England Squash young leaders award covering Squash 101 delivery to adults and juniors, event management and publicising activities
• England Squash Participation award (level 1) covering on top of the above as well as an introduction to coaching racketball and working with school environments.

The GSA are currently producing a strategy to better support local coaches which will involve mentoring schemes once coaches are qualified to help support the development of coaches as well as increasing participation within the local community.
